An RFQ clarification can affect a part even when the model does not change. If it changes material, finish, a critical dimension or inspection expectation, record it in the controlled package rather than relying only on an email thread.

Use a visible revision identifier and align the model, PDF and RFQ reference. See our revision control guide.
Identify the affected feature
State which requirement changed and why it matters to the part function. For critical features, include the related inspection expectation in the same package.
